Santa Rita Jail Interior Accessibility Upgrades

Project is result of legal settlement between County and Plaintiffs for accessibility at Santa Rita Jail. Increased recognition of the civil rights of detainees and persons being held for adjudication under the Americans with Disabilities Act requires that intake, administration and detention areas in the Santa Rita Jail be retrofitted to accommodate persons with disabilities. The areas to be improved include the parking lot, the ramp at the public entrance, the service counter, beds and toilets, drinking fountains, showers, restrooms, the chapel and the Intake-Transfer-Receive area.
