We’re excited to announce that the County’s Board of Supervisors adopted the Climate Action Plan for Government Services and Operations Through 2026. Check out the Executive Summary (in nine languages) or the full plan.

What Will the Plan Mean to Me?

The plan includes six action areas: Built Environment, Community Resilience, Green Economy and Prosperity, Sustainable Materials Management, Transportation, and Climate Leadership and Governance.

County agencies will lead actions aligned with their work. All County agencies will participate in efforts such as purchasing sustainably and encouraging clean commuting.

For a quick overview, see short summaries (under Action Area Summaries) of each action area, including what employees and residents and employees may notice as the plan is implemented and what you can do to support plan goals.

Please share any questions or resources for implementation by contacting us.
